Stuart Inns Press Release

Stuart Inns the Suffolk based restaurant, pub, accommodation and delicatessen group operated by the Macmillan family.

Background notes for Editors:

Stuart Inns Ltd was formed 5 years ago to establish a chain of leisure and food venues throughout Suffolk.

The first project and flag-ship operation, the Long Melford Swan, was until extensively refurbished by Stuart Inns a tired local pub, it is now recognised as one of East Anglia's prime fine dining restaurants, serving gourmet food.

Since opening and after further modernisation of the Swan and adjoining Melford House, Stuart Inns now offer individually designed boutique guest accommodation.

Latterly Stuart Inns have taken over The Hadleigh Ram, Hadleigh, after extensive re-development and refurbishment is now one of Suffolk's premier dining venues that feature a combination of innovative and unusual cuisine.

Following the success of the Long Melford Swan, Greene King approached the Macmillan's about taking over the license of the Lavenham Greyhound, formally a thriving village pub that had fallen on hard times. In doing so, turned this unique Suffolk pub in to one of the best known gastro pubs in East Anglia, specialising in served all-day gastro style dishes.

Ollie, Lorna and Iain Macmillan, responsible for the daily operation of the venues embarked their latest venture, the change of use and redevelopment of Duck cottage in to the only fine food delicatessen in Long Melford, due to open early December 2016.
